JB Racing Aluminum Lightweight Flywheel – E34 535i (1989-1993)

Our JB Racing Aluminum Lightweight Flywheel significantly reduces the high rotating mass of your stock E34 535i flywheel, allowing your engine to rev more quickly. This makes shifting faster and rev-matching incredibly easy.

The stock flywheel on the 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993 model BMW 535i weighs a whopping 30 lbs – This lightweight performance replacement weighs in at just 11 lbs! This massive change in mass is immediately noticeable on the first “tip” of the throttle pedal.

JB Racing’s lightweight E34 535i aluminum flywheel is designed to provide performance enhancements for street-driven vehicles. By reducing static weight and Moment of Inertia (MOI), the lightweight aluminum flywheel allows the M30 “big six” 6 cylinder engine to rev more quickly, and it takes less power to accelerate the lightweight flywheel, thus allowing more power to reach the wheels.

These lightweight aluminum flywheels are manufactured from billet aluminum and as “single-mass” designs. The critical dimensions of the OEM flywheel are duplicated, and the flywheel is designed to accept the OE clutch components.* JB Racing flywheels are manufactured on state-of-the-art CNC equipment and are always designed, machined, assembled, balanced, inspected, and packaged at JB Racing.
